Does NJMP require an SA rated helmet to participate in driving events held on their tracks?

clubs do the tech in's of safety gear .so its the clubs helmet rules you have to meet . check the rule books to see if its ok to use the helmet you have .

New Jersey state law requires SA helmets That is one reason I'm not going as I only have M rated helmets. Plus being a motorcycle dealer, all I sell at work is M helmets

Actually the track / State of NJ enforces some of the rules and has the following policies:

- Helmets must be SA2000 or SA2005.
- Seat belts must be no older than 2 years – (SFI) or 5 years – (FIA).
If your belts are out of date, but you also have stock belts, harnesses do not need to be removed.
- All convertibles must have rollover protection ( No “pop-up” bars ).
- Shorts and open shoes are NOT permitted beyond the pit lane fence.
- Plywood must be used under all jack stands and jacks.
- Helmets must be worn when riding mopeds and motorcycles anywhere on the property.

Seems such a shame to toss 2 yr. old belts. I have seen 6pt. new-in-box SFI harnesses,out of date, selling for chicken feed. Yes,I know,rules are rules. Schroth will rebelt/recertify their harnesses.Do other companies?

TeamTech will reweb my harnesses, but their price list shows about 75% of the purchase price of a new one to do that. I'll need that at the end of next year.

Sam, I'm not going to NJMP but if you think you can use it, I'll make sure I get to Pat to bring up for you. My size is 6 7/8 and the helmet is a little loose.
