Videos from Mont Tremblant

Post by naschmitz » Sat Aug 07, 2010 3:54 pm

I posted an in-car video with data overlay for two 1:53.2 laps I did back to back on Monday's practice session. You can find it on the COM Vimeo site and on YouTube: The 141 SPB E36 M3 BMW and I were giving each other point by's and running about the same lap times.

There is also a trackside video

Great track, great event, hope to do it all again next year. But most of all, thank goodness for a dry track in my run group!!!

Nice driving Bert. Car sounds great, and I like the dash set up. Track must feel small at those speeds, compared to a Miata :)

Thanks, Jeff. In the pouring rain on Tuesday morning when I did my 3:30 lap the track was plenty large! Troy pointed out that he was going to beat me in the time trial if it stayed wet. Thank goodness it dried out (for me, at least).

Nice videos, Thanks for sharing.

I took a similar video during time trial, however I only got my out lap and one more before the camera ran out of juice (bugger!)

For comparison this is what my 2:00 flat looked like on board. (1986 Audi 4000 quattro with a stock 2005 S4 V8, not tuned yet as only first real outing) Your lap looks a lot more relaxed tha mine, nice driving :)

I have been through and compared speeds at turn in, apex and track out, and overall they are similar, however your Vette shows quite a bit higher speeds on teh front and back streights.

Not only was I going to beat you, but I'm pretty sure both of my Corvette students were going to as well.
