NHMS May 31 & June 1 Information. UPDATE 5/25/10
The information as I now have it:
1. Registration will be open on Sunday evening, May30th, from 700PM until 900PM at the main gate of the track. Registration will also be open (same place) from 700AM until 800AM on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
2. Entry to the track will be allowed at 700pm REPEAT 700pm on Sunday night. Camping will be allowed on Sunday and Monday night. You may NOT occupy a garage until you register and are assigned a garage space. In other words, park your vehicles in the parking lot at the garage, come back and register then have your garage space assigned. Garages are available on a first come, first served basis at a cost of $50.00 per day, with space for 2 cars in each garage.
3. Entry time (gates open) will be 730AM both Monday and Tuesday
4. Tech inspection will begin promptly at 720AM both days. It will be held outside the Tech Shed.
5. The fluid shed will be open from (to be announced at drivers meeting) on Monday and Tuedsday.
6. Parents are responsible for controlling their children. Unattended children (under age 16) are not allowed. This is a fast paced event and any violation of this rule creates a safety hazard. Violators will be asked to leave the premises.
7. Parking areas outside the track and the areas within the track are NOT to be used for brake bedding, suspension tuning, etc. Violators will be asked to leave the premises.
8. Minors (under age 16) will not be allowed to ride bicycle, scooters, ATV's, etc. anytime during the hours the track is open.
9. COM logo patches and bumper stickers will be available at the registration booth and in the garage area. See Sam Webster. Patches are a minimum $5.00 donation and $1.00 for stickers.
10. I will update this post if new details are announced.

Hey, I parted the clouds 3 times at Monticello, but we ran past 500pm and that is the end of that story!
Seriously, the weather does look good 10 days out!

I don't think NHMS will allow anything but the chicanes..

Actually, when I recieved my confirmation email it said we were using the south oval. I've been looking for further confirmation but haven't seen any.

There is also a BBQ Monday evening at 5pm. Pulled pork, Brooksie's Five-Alarm Chili dogs, chicken salad sandwiches, mac salad, etc. Sign up/RSVP via the "For Attendees" page on the registration site. -Fred F
Re: NHMS May 31 & June 1 Information. UPDATE 5/25/10
If that is what the emails said, they are in error. We are using chicane chicane due to safety considerations, i.e. not all cars/drivers have 5/6 point belts and an SFI approved Head/Neck restraint, fire suppression, etc.John F wrote:Actually, when I recieved my confirmation email it said we were using the south oval. Thank you Sam... I have been holding off finishing my classroom presentation (track narrative) pending confirmation of this.chaos4NH wrote:If that is what the emails said, they are in error. Chicane-Chicane is more challenging ... and less damaging if-you-know-what-I-mean ...

I don’t believe any of the official confirmations sent by the Registrar indicated what the track configuration would be.

I believe that Mark. Wonder where it came from? Maybe JohnF can let us know.Mark Swinehart wrote:I don’t believe any of the official confirmations sent by the Registrar indicated what the track configuration would be.

I knew the confirmation emails did not say that. It was discussed (and much hoped for) at the BOD meetings but Safety over ruled our hopes. Thanks for the information.

Mea culpa. We were lead to believe the new track management was receptive but wanted to run some "speed checks" first.
