Classifaction of BMW E36 M3/4

Post by CompassMotors » Mon Apr 26, 2010 9:02 am

New member looking for guidance on correct vehicle classification prior to Monticello event

1998 BMW E36 M3/4
- SSA in rulebook
- Have replaced worn suspension parts (mounting points all stock) with the following (Bilstien Sport, H&R Sport, TMS Sway bars)

Based on those components, which class would be correct?

Thanks!
Gordy

Hi Gordy,
Welcome to the club!
Aftermarket suspension parts put your SSA car into ST2.

You would have been ok for SSA with the shock changes, but the after market sway bars move you to ST2. Welcome to ST2 (I think!)

H&R springs would have made the bump too.

Right you are Carl. Not being a bimmer guy I didn't realize that H&R sports were springs
