WTB: 17" mustang rims
The title says it all. I need a set of 17" rims for my mustang as one of my rims is cracked, and I didn't find out until after I bought brand new tires for it....PM me here or at

I've got a set you can have for dirt cheap, as long as you don't care about condition. You can have them for scrap value, $20/ea
They are 17x8. The previous owner buggered one of them pretty bad. He used a die grinder to remove a wheel lock, so there is a groove where the disk cut into the wheel at one lug hole. Other than that, they're mint!

Truthfully I picked up this set of behemoths to run on the RX8, but holy crap, those heavy wheels turned that puppy into a real dog. So, let's just say that I tried walking in your shoes, but didn't have the balls.

Re: WTB: 17" mustang rims
Thanks for the offer, but i am kinda looking for some rims in decent shape. My Mustang is by no means a show car but i am a perfectionist and the cut would drive me nuts...lol Thanks again though!

Re: WTB: 17" mustang rims
Are these 4 lug or 5 lug Mustang wheels you need? I have a set of 17x9.5 Cobra R wheels that have had tires mounted on them, but never been on a car. They are 4 lug, though.

Re: WTB: 17" mustang rims
4-lug Cobra R???? That surprises me. The wheels I have are from a Cobra R, or so I was told. They're 5 lug.
And yes, the cut would drive one nuts. I'm not a perfectionist, and it drove me nuts.

Re: WTB: 17" mustang rims
Carl,I have an old 88 Mustang and these are built to fit the Fox 4 lug bolt pattern. They are not "real" Cobra R wheels, but replicas. I guess not what is needed.

Want to buy a bridge? Unless they were from a 1993 Cobra R (very rare) they are not real cobra Rs- not in a 17x8 size.cfossum wrote:4-lug Cobra R???? That surprises me. The wheels I have are from a Cobra R, or so I was told. -Carl
The knock-offs were made in every concievable size and yes 4 and 5 lug.

Re: WTB: 17" mustang rims
OK, so maybe they aren't 8", or maybe they aren't real R wheels, but either way they're friggin' ugly.

Re: WTB: 17" mustang rims
Bump:
Still looking for a decent set of Mustang Rims 17" that will fit 245/45's and 5x114.3 bolt (01 Mustang GT)
I should be back from Afghanistan soonish. And of course now the cracked rim on my car is no longer holding air so i now need something soon than later. I've looked at Tirerack but every thing there is pretty ugly or the exact same bullet style wheels i already own. I did noticed that they had a much larger selection for 05+ Mustangs but i am not sure if those wheels would fit my car....
Anyone know of somewhere else to buy some relatively cheep yet still decent wheels?

Re: WTB: 17" mustang rims
Have several sets of 16" / 5 lug wheels that I used to run on my backup car, 88 converted to 5 lug ...... also have two odd 17" x 9" Cobra R's that would would not mind selling, thing is they are the odd 36 mm offset (ie: all my god sets are 24mm offset --- 94-2004 I believe)...... to get the correct wheels you really need to let us know what offset or BS you need .....
