NEWS UPDATE:
We will be allowed to have a trackside BBQ and appropriate beverages (did anyone say Heineken?) on Monday night May 3.

Correct, and White Mountain BMW will still not let the Atom run.

Any word on noise restrictions yet? I need to know if I have to fab up an intake muffler for the M3.

Thanks,
Brendan

Monticello noise limit: Offically 102db, but they will not be checking individual cars unless someone is WAY OUT there! (Yoou know, like Wills Miata, right?) :D

Thanks Sam. I think I'm probably ok, but might bring some materials to improvise with, just in case :D

Good idea! We have some "experts" in that field. Basically, a turn down extension, or if you are really technical, lots of steel wool and bailing wire :)

I tried to explain: They have no sound measuring devices. If they think you are too load, they "talk" to you. That is a direct quote from the track operations manager.

I'm not volunteering to be the forum grammar police, but Sam, you just did one of my favorites :D It's "baling" wire, not "bailing" wire. Baling wire (also known as "farm wire") is used to tie up hay bales - get it? Wire is actually not very good for "bailing" unless woven into a very tight bucket, or the liquid to be bailed is extremely viscous.

The things you learn on this forum.

It's not as if Sam lives on a farm or anything.
