Carefull,Mick as those Carfax sites do not always tell the whole story. I use to have an acct.,but realized how much they miss due to the fact that unless the incident is reported, you usually end up with a list of registration renewals and safety inspections, so it really comes down to a good self inspection and how believable the sellers stories are. Bringing another skilled set of eyes with you always helps.Amazing what one overlooks when you see something you really want. Once you get into multiple owners...look out...story time!!
I currently don't have an acct,so I'm of no use, sorry.Best of luck.

Thanks, I hear you. It's still worth doing though. You just have to know that it can only tell you if the car has a bad history, it can't tell you that it's clean.

they are still worth doing . BUT most of the time its up to the insurance co. or the warranty provider to post the info to carfax . my honda selsol has a clean carfax . the car was clipped 2 years ago and still has a clean carfax . i know it was clipped becouse i did the work . with some insurance CO's they will only place a carfax if the air bags go off , water or fire damage . my thinking why the honda it was never posted was becouse the steering was changed to a wheel with out an air bag . and when the adjuster came to look at the car i reinstalled the stock wheel and reset the air bag code . i will check with a frend that owns the mazda volvo dealer in milford ct. to see if he will do it for me (he has in the past)

Meant to snap a photo of the car and post it here when I got home with it but never got a chance.

Great deal for a great car!

Will it see track, occasionally, or is that a street-only ride?
