bmw people's input please

i don't want to use any thing other than pump gas at this time . my vw gti i have to run at least 50/50 VP and pump gas . is why at first the only thing i will do motor wise is chip and open exhaust . down the road i will do a build to get the common 325 hp from the 3.0 motor .rigth now i'm doing a stock spec rebuild on my 2.5 944 motor and just for parts to do the botom end its 4200 dollars . as we all know weight is a down side . there are 6 manufactures that make fiborglass and carbonfibor panels for the 968 .big plus ! in my shop we have built 944/968's in the past with good luck . so i'm leaving the 968 on my short list .
