I also have the same exact conflicts. I work every other weekend and guess which weekend all three of those are on. :(

I am a fan of the mid week events, but can get more support (family/friends) for weekend events. It's a catch 22 for me.

Careful. In the new Tiger Woods age, "golf clap" has a totally different meaning.

Credit the illustrious and hard working president Spain. And approved by the Board. The Thunderbolt circuit is long, fast and challenging. And I promise you can still swim at the Jersey shore this time of year.

Mark, i knew i would hear from you on this one  in a way you're right , i need to take some time off to go out & play during the summer, the problem is that is not just one or two days, preparing the car is at least that much more & then some if things go wrong.
and what about cabin fever, i remember just 4 years ago running in late march @ LRP in late March or very early April, and now May!

Well...one must weigh ones priorities in life. The older I get,the more I want to play. Too bad our weather sucks for 4 months out of the year.I even considered Jeffs/NEQs winter car control clinic but can't stand the thought of playing "out" in the cold.Yes,I know I would be in the car..but still..you got to get out sometime. Guess I had better start looking at living in Arizona. They do have a few road tracks down there...and lots of sun! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: I was thinking around VIR would be nice..but they get cold and snow there as well..just not as much as we do. Where would one "retire" to with plenty of tracks and good weather? If Ca wasn't so scewed up, Marin county would be OK..day dreaming again... :D

on a related note, I was watching a show on Speed last week about actor/amateur racer Eric Bana and in one segment there was an interview with Dr. Phil.

During this, it was pointed out that ideally, work, should be considered as a means to an end...not the end itself.

Obviously, thats an over-simplification, but its certainly reinforcement how fortunate I am to have been able to evolve my livelihood in such a manner as to not cut into 'racin' too much (and even allow for some non-automotive type vacations).

Now let me start putting dates onto that 2010 racin calendar :sunny:
