new stuff; I like the Porsche Boxter Speedster. 2700lbs...320hp and damn good looking! Saw one in white/black in Autoweek. Some of the new little, little cars are...scary. Makes my Atom seem..big!

I like the Mazda 2 as well. They have been selling it in Europe for a few years now and I am suprized they waited this long to bring it here.Mazda is such a great company for all us grassroots racers, nice contigencey money for autocross/road racing along with the excellent prices on all parts from Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development. My 3rd gen RX7 is 16 yrs old very limited units car and I can go online and order every single mechanical or body part for the car at a discount after showing them 2 timed events in a year.
Nice company :D

Isn't Ford selling a model based on the same car..the Fiesta or something?

The Ford gets the same 1.6l 120hp motor, and the Fiesta may possibly get a 1.8L H.O. version, but I also read the Ford will be available with a slick dual clutch 6 speed, where the Mazda2 won't have this option.So..we shall see! I would love to see one of them put a 2.0L turbo engine in one of these 2100lb cars.
