NHMS5 video...Ariel Atom2

Post by breakaway500 » Tue Nov 03, 2009 1:27 pm

Sound quality of the Go-pro is still poor..so I dubbed in some mood music. These laps are from the second practice session on Sunday.I had the wide slicks on.114-115ish lap times. Corolla is at about 6:11 if you are wondering, Kai..

Whoops! Sorry did not see this one - had started a picture thread on the events forum.

Great video, impressive how much the car bounces, it looks very smooth from the outside! In any case, very impressed with the corners!

Thanks for the Corolla time marker :)! You pass me at 4:00 in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5TANhpmN9o and lap me at 1:25 in part 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwyIPTlvFB4).

Edit: And I love your taste of music!!!

Anyone have pointers to video of my Formula Ford? I'm not convinced my kids actually think Dad drives that thing. I'll have to bring them up next year, but in the meantime. I'm not too proud to let them see everyone pass me... LOL

Mark,
Looks like the camera is loose in the mount. I found that a strip of duct tape on the ridge in the center of the mount under the camera solves this problem.

I stuck it to the "hood" which really is not tight to the car. It wobbles back and forth.Considering how loose it fits,I am amazed how well the footage came out. I will try for a better mount next time.

I should have a higher resolution version if you want it.
