I consider myself enlightened,no pun intended. After reading the report above on various vehicle fluid flash points..maybe we should ALL be wearing fireproof gear while on track. The people conducting the tests did not even want to try washer fluid..yikes. I guess it is a lot more dangerous than what is commonly believed. Live and learn!

I don't think anyone is too upset about the new rule classifying water/meth as a fuel. But the proposed rule to push all water/meth equipped cars into Prepared and force drivers to install fire suppression systems is effing ridiculous.

I don't really think it would even get a motion for a vote. It did, however get your attention.. Anyone can propose a new rule..but that does NOT mean it stands a snowballs chance of hell in going anywhere. That is why the process seems to work well. If you have a good idea how meth/water injection systems should be handled,by all means propose one.Or,leave it up to someone else...

So that was you  Nice job of playing the provocateur. I'm sure we will discuss this further next weekend.

If you feel strongly for or against a proposal, the only way to make a difference is to go to these meetings and speak up.Never mind next week...come to the next meeting! Squeaky wheels... :sunny:

Good! Than he can teach me some things....
Seriously,I learned a lot about how proposals become rules. That is all I was trying to say. I figure if anyone is in favor or against a proposal, they will be at the meetings. I seemed to be the only one against the meth/water reservoir becoming a fuel tank proposal.I can see the need to have some sort of regulations regarding the usage of methanol, but am not sure about how restrictive they should be.
