I have not even gotten used to my 230hp,never mind 400! I actually know the builder of this car,Dennis quite well. He built my new rear uprights (stronger than stock to take my wide tires)and he is working on new suspension pushrods and aluminum rockers for me.(stronger) That engine is basically two Hayabusa engines joined together to make 400hp. If I were to add more HP,I would work with the Ecotec engine I have. There is one Atom owner in Ca. who has his Ecotec Atom over 450whp. with built internals and a turbo. Not sure how it would stand up to track duty, though. More power is nice, but not at the expense of dependability. 300whp would be a nice level considering the rest of the drivetrain.Maybe some day. I have enjoyed making my car faster with chassis tuning, sticky tires and light wheels, better brakes and seat time. :D
As I understand it,horsepower is just a crutch anyway.... Right,Gordon?

Dude....if you're running in the 116's at NHMS....there is no need for more power. It's like you just got that thing sorted out. I bet just more seat time with it will yield in spades..

...and for goodness sake....mount the sliding seat in there so I can drive it. LOL

LOL, you got that right Mark!

BUT, I bet that double-Busa sounds awesome at 12K.

I'll bet it does sound incredible...but I won't pay $125k to find out.. He is going to have the car at an event called Atomfest'09 to be held at Hallett Speedway down in Oklahoma the middle of September but I'm not planning on going. Maybe I can get him to email me a sound bite..

I was just messing with you anyway.

I'll have to catch a ride in that Atom at an autox one of these days (if you can dodge the line to the passenger seat!) :D
