I like Will and everything, but I'm just not a fan of the black car with red top thing.

If there is anyone out there that has a black top to fit an NA car, and wants a red one, I'm willing to trade plus a little cash if the black top is in better shape than this one. Mine has some spots where the paint is flaking off, but otherwise the top is in stout condition. I don't have any of the latches as I am using spec type steel brackets to permanently mount the roof.
Any takers?

Mazda made way more red Miatas than any other color, so there are at least twice as many red hard tops floating around out there as other colors. That's why you see so many track Miatas with red tops -- they're all that we could find!
I keep wanting to swap with Bill H. for his silver top to match my car, but I think he likes his red/silver color combo better than I like my silver/red one.
I agree that the easiest option is probably just to paint it.

Believe it or not, I like the red ones. There is a long thread over on corner carvers about rustoleum appliance epoxy and how ridiculously good it is in the painting of race associated items like cages, body panels, and in some cases, entire cars. I'm considering it.

I have used it on several roll cages. Glossy, hard finish, also good for wheels. Not good for any flexible parts as the paint to too hard and will crack.

That car looks like it's coated with Teflon.

Might be good for a second or two...

Nice.. I sure could use a second or two.
Looks like a lot of work getting all the vinyl on smoothly.
I'm probably just going to have the car sprayed over winter.

"I sure could use a second or two"
I have the factory turbo setup off my Speed I'm not using.....
I picked up 7 seconds over my COM TT times at Watkins Glen with the new setup on the car at last weeks NEQ outing. The second day was even faster, but my Racelogic Performancebox decided it did not want to play,so not hard data. I hate that thing...
