I seem to remember a thread or discussion about members being able to request a number for the season, did that ever happen or are we requesting numbers on a per-event-registration/first-come-first-served basis?

When you register for each event there are three number request fields.

If any of the numbers you request are available you get that number assigned as your Driver Number (and it will remain your number unless you request a change).

If none of your three requests can be honored - your Driver Number remains as previously assigned.
