Sam, I passed on your suggestion to my wife. She said...well never mind what she said, but I don't think that's gonna work.
Hhhmmm, don't push the issue then!
BTW, WHAT is that in your avatar?? No more 'vette?
I agree with you about the "exotic" terminology. But, since it is put on by the Viper club, I guess exotic is in the eye of the owner!

After years of lobbying by my buddy Doug, I went out an bought a BMW last Spring. Although I'm not quite convinced that they can drive on water, never need any significant repair, and are the highest quality vehicle ever made, I was impressed enough to get another one in December that was a deal to good to be true. The photo in the Avatar is a BMW 540i. The Corvette is jealously awaiting spring when it may be finding a new home. My wife won't ride in it because the ride is too stiff and I have a hard time convincing the kids to just curl up underneath the roll bar in the back. Now that my grandsons are living with me there are not too many occasions when a Corvette is useful. (Still is fun though).

For this season I am still in my happy place where the RX-7 runs and drives. I'm imagining a season when that remains true through November. Anything's possible, right?

Would a classic mini with a honda motor be considered exotic? Or just silly?

I personally think a big part of exotic IS silly. Hey,I drive a motorized ladder!

Although,a classic Mini with a Hemi might be....too silly...

If one of you photoshop guys can put together a one page flyer, I'll put them into my merchandise bags as well as put one of them on display near the cash register of the store. Just today I think I talked a noobie customer into attending our first event at NHMS in a few weeks.

I pulled some strings with the organizers. The club will put up $200 front money and we will run a raffle (don't care to say what as not yet BOD discussed) for the remainingg $300 and the organizers have given that their blessing. So, we go in as a Gold sponsor, have our logo on the Tees they sell, a flyer in the goody bags along with nice car products, a space for 6 cars, club display and videos. Hoping for over 1,000 "lookers". The GTI will be a big draw! For those that haven't seen it, the GTI is a full race, caged, SPC type car with an Audi 2.0 liter, and graphics that will blow your mind!
That leaves space for 4 more cars. Chuck said he would bring his RX7, were there others? Maybe the Bio Diesel? A Mustang? A black and yellow BMW?
And, I am insulted at the mention of rain! I can't believe you guys didn't learn about my powers at The Glen!

Here are the cars Locked In for the show:
Bruce Allen - Formula Car
Mick D - BMW M3
David B - Tricked out GTI
Sam W - Streetable MS3
Chuck - Race Ready RX7
Kurt H - Race prepped M3
If any of you are not planning on attending, let me know.
Now, that is not to say peeps can't bring their own cars, they just won't be parked at the COM display.
We can have flyers for COM displayed on their cars, too. I will post up the fee for private cars when I get more details from the Viper Club.

Here is info on the show Sam is talking about:

http://www.northeastexotic.com/

I'd love to attend but I am going to be doing one of two things:
1. Autoxing with NE-SVT.
2. Driving to the Jersey Shore.

This is the latest correspondence I sent to the organizers today:

Hi Jerry,

I am ready to send our contribution for the car show and make final arrangements with you and the other organizers for our 6 car participation and display.
Did you get the logo I sent for inclusion on the T's and goody bags?
When do you need the COM literature for the goody bags?
We have an ultra enthusiastic group wanting to take part. I hope to have another 1/2 dozen or so cars show up to support our main group.

Stay in touch and keep me informed of the dateline requirements as we go along.

Best Regards,
