I need a little work done on my trailer.

Post by TroyV » Fri Jun 19, 2009 8:03 am

I have an aluminum tire trailer with a tire rack on the front. The rack is fine, but the through bar (basically a pipe with end caps and lock pins) has a piece broken off. I'd like to come up with a new bar scheme that not only locks the tires to the trailer in a theft deterrent way, but also holds them fast, so they are not bouncing around over the bumps.

I considered asking Ted, but I figure there will be some aluminum welding required, and recall him saying that he didn't work with that material.

I can drag the trailer just about anywhere for the work to be done. I'm hoping for the work to be completed in time for me to use the trailer for NHMS 2.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. DSG sounds like a good bet.

I need to layout the changes, and order some material on Monday.
