Construction has not begun. NER SCCA has signed a contract with Tim Pappas, Boston condo developer a few months ago. TIm will take majority interest, finance and build the track. Tim is a pro racer- ALMS and Grand AM interests. TIm has extended the approved NER track plan and as a result has gone through some environmental redesign. There are no more public hearings. Approvals are in hand except the MEPA. The document linked above shows good response to first submission. Second and final submission is usually 90 days. Sound was one of the key positive points of the site. No problem because the track is in a caldera on the top of a hill.

In order to start construction Tim must get final MEPA, then he must close the purchase with NER to own the property and begin construction. Hopefully ground breaking will be this year. The NER has interests and rights after construction.

Patullo is a former SCCA NER President. He is President of NER Investments LLC (nee Palmer Motrosports Park).

Just going through some of the threads and bring this back from the dead.

Any news on the Palmer track? Is it still a go or it's on hold? Any prediction date of opening?

bad news. The Construction magnate cum racer to whom we had contracted rights has been terminated. SCCA New England Region has taken the lead again and has some financing alternatives it is pursuing.
