Where to Buy Letters / Numbers
Where do you guys get your letters and numbers for your vehicles? I've done some research and found a few places online which sell vinyl decals, but I've never purchased any before and wish to know the places you guys frequent.
I'd want something which could stay on for a few days and then come off without leaving behind residue. They cannot be magnetic because my car's body is plastic and carbon fiber. Preferably, I'd need to be able to order some and have them in my hands in a week's time. Has anyone purchased from www.speedgraphics.net?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Re: Where to Buy Letters / Numbers
There are lots of places to find numbers, but fewer places that I've found good removable/reusable vinyl stick-on numbers. I've been very happy with the reusable vinyl numbers I got from http://www.soloperformance.com/. I stick them on at the beginning of an event and peel them off at the end. They're not supposed to last forever, since eventually they do lose their stickiness, but mine are going on their third year and still sticking fine. Just make sure your hands are clean when you handle them.

Dave_G, thanks for the suggestion. If I go with pre-made vinyl lettering / numbering, I'll use Solo Performance. It sounds like they have exactly what I'm looking for!
962porsche, Con-Tact paper is a great idea! That never crossed my mind. My car is dark blue. I really appreciate your offer to send me some, but since it's pretty darn cheap to buy a roll of plain white, I figure I'll pick up a roll and save you the hassle. Thanks again for the sentiment.
You have both been very helpful! Thanks!

COM number/class requirements are 8" minimum for the number and a 4" minimum for the class designation.

I use http://squierdesign.com/
It is obvious from their home page. They are very quick and even can to photo print graphics and custom Greaed Shadow designs.

I'll second iZoom graphics. My set came out great and I got exactly what I wanted as far as font/color ect. I got the re-usable vinyl so haven't had a chance to remove and reuse yet but they are nice and beefy.

Re: Where to Buy Letters / Numbers
I went to Solo Performance 3 weeks ago but that haven't been able to get the order right. They've messed up with a promise to get it right in time for my track day which is this Sunday. The stuff came in today Friday 4:30pm but is wrong again... - they sent the magnetic stuff which I hear can come off at high speed.
Anybody have suggestions on getting something on such short notice for the Monday-Tuesday NHMS track day?
Thanks!

Clear tape on the front edge of the numbers. They will only come off if you spin - so they tell me.
Re: Where to Buy Letters / Numbers
I don't think you have to worry about high speeds at NHMS. I run magnetic numbers and only lost them during a 3g slap at the Armco at Mont-Tremblant.rosamila wrote:I went to Solo Performance 3 weeks ago but that haven't been able to get the order right. I picked up someone's magnetic number in the middle of the back straight at Tremblant once during a track walk. They do sometimes come off at speed, even without a tank slapper. Taping the front edge helps.chaos4NH wrote:I don't think you have to worry about high speeds at NHMS. I run magnetic numbers and only lost them during a 3g slap at the Armco at Mont-Tremblant.
