Lodging Thoughts for St. Jovite?

Post by 6PAK72 » Thu May 14, 2009 6:25 pm

For those of us who need it, anyone have motel info for St. Jovite/Tremblant area? There are about 100 listed, just looking for a referral.

Thanks,

I found this very nice place on Expedia. The price is $86/night plus tax. Very reasonal and only 1.5 miles to the track.

I stayed here last year. Less than a mile from the racers entrance and they have good food.

I'll bring my Irish flute and we'll have some entertainment that does not involve watching me miss my braking points...

Actually, a fair bit. Favorites include "Lament to the loss of Whiskey", "Fannie Power(s)", and of course the Concerto.

Patrick Orceau, the phenomenal fiddler, lives on the north side of Montreal. I'm trying to convince him to drag his French ass up to St. Jovite.

The owner of the lodge is a trad musician, and apparently one or 2 of the COM crowd has some talent.

Perhaps we can drink and play tunes after we drive and sweat....

I'd have to borrow a guitar. No way I have room to pack one.

Ha! You think you've got trouble, try packing a guitar in a Miata sometime. Sometimes I think Jeff has the right idea: I should have played the flute. :)

It would be cool to combine music with a driving event, though.

Somebody please take the camcorder out of your car and record those sessions. I'd love to hear that music!

You know, I figured a "Perron" would play...

Somehow I don't see dragging Frank along for the weekend.
