Rooming at Watkins

Post by 6PAK72 » Mon Mar 30, 2009 9:19 pm

Where is the COMSCC gang staying if not at the track?

Liz and I stayed at the Falls Motel last time we were out, pretty reasonable, very unique bar...and barmaid... 8)

I just made reservations at the Villager Motel. Price is $50/single, $65/double for the motel, and $95 for the hotel. If you make your reservation online you can take advantage of their "car club members and driver school special" and get the second night for 1/2 price. (It's kind of hidden. Hover your mouse over the "reservations" link and click on the "specials" button that pops up. Then when you make the reservation you need to type the request for the special in the "special requirements" box.)

I also called the Seneca Clipper Inn and the Glen Way Motel, but they are both full those nights.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip. We might do the three-night special, Sun, Mon, Tues.

See you at NHIS!

Just be aware the Villager Motel is old, funky but centrally located. Breakfast can be best about accorss the street (Flo's diner or something like that) friendly staff.
But the Villager is more like a clean roach motel so look for the low price rather than comfort and amenities

The villager is beyond crappy. I stayed there last year, in the hotel section, just bigger rooms with bigger roaches and other crawlies. Be aware that NY has prety restrictive gun laws, bringing your Uzi to clear a path from bed to bath might not be a great idea
