Nissan 350Z brake rotors
Anyone know of a good brake rotor to use on a 2003 350Z track edition... The stock rotors are like 500$ a piece so definitely want to go with something aftermarket that will work well on the track but also not incredibly expensive...
Thanks
Thanks

The man to answer this question is Mike Geldart- but I don't think he lurks on this forum much. Anyone have a contact for Mike?

Brembo slotted rotors are $333 a pair for fronts at Tire Rack.

AutoPart International makes rotors. They probably aren't the best but they are cheap and probably no worse than OEM rotors. Go here:

Raj, to be honest they aren't as good. Fine for a street car but probably not the best option for the track

Probably not, but they were $50 each for the STI Wait, maybe that's why I don't have an STI anymore. It was the **** brakes!!agrabau wrote:Raj, to be honest they aren't as good. Fine for a street car but probably not the best option for the track

i used the cheapy rotors for a while and yes they do wear out quicker but at 50/rotor for the sti it was ok with me. now fast forward to the end of last year and the cheap rotors. when i started using really good (hawk dtc-70) pads the rotors did not cool well enough and that was with brake ducts. it was bad enough i was boiling fluid in 15-20 minutes on the track, the paint burnt off the calipers and the rotors warped quickly. when i was making 1:20+ laps i had no issues with heat or boiling fluid and the rotors held up fine. when i had clearer track and could push it more toward 1:17-1:18 i had issues after 4-5 laps of very deep braking.
need parts for your trailer, welding repairs/fabrication (sorry cant do aluminum), tires mounted and balanced, feel free to email/pm me. i am located a little west of nashua. ted

They don't cool as well because there's slag in the veins, some fingers of the children that were lost while working at the forgery.

Got some stop pros??? from tire rack...all the brembos where cross drilled or slotted and not recomended for track use...especially with carbo-techs. I cant make NHMS but i am pretty sure i can make WG....

Rock Auto has a pair of Centric blanks for less than $150 shipped for the front pair. If you search the motorsports forum on my350z.com for Centric, you'll see that many weekend warriors are running fine with them. I'll give them a whirl when my OEM's fall apart.
