Seriously thinking about doing a rollbar before the season starts, I'm on the fence about it but want to make sure I do it right if I decide to do it. I bought the car because I wanted a fun street car, its a street car first and racecar distant second but I love racing and will try to get out and do whatever I can with $$ and time allowing. OT days, Auto X, Drag Racing whatever is available.
So I only see specs for the size and type of bar but nothing that relates to how many cross bars or attachment points. Its probably trivial but I want to make sure its allowed before coughing up the money. I'm planing to do a 6 point rollbar with removable side bars for the street.
As I drag race the car too I want to make sure I have something made that meets all the class requirments. NHRA/IHRA and Com/SCCA? I guess after getting kicked out of the Dragway I should just do it so I don't have to sneak under the rules.
After seeing the Rollbar in Brian S's Red Roush I want to take my car to the same guy. Thats one of the best custom bars I have ever seen.

COM does not have restrictions to the number of attaching points. Bar should be 1.75x.120 DOM for a car that heavy. SCCA does restrict the passing of bars through the firewall to pick up the front suspension (in most classes). With either organization you can triangulate untill you can't see out the back if you want.
