Can you add this to the COM school curriculum? No more "In a spin, two feet in!"

In the first video,it shows him in a boxed off area, doing donuts, pivoting around the front wheels.(3:58)How is that possible, that the front wheels don't just pull the car foreward into the barrier? It is an amazing display of car control.

Probably because he's got a torque biasing center differential that's pumping most of the power to the rear wheels.

Is that something he has control of manually?

STI's have DCCD (driver controlled center diff).

I'm not sure how his unit is set up, but it's entirely possible they set it up to send most of the power to the back.

No more guys .. I got laid off, so too bad they did not run him over ...

I thought they did all the spin by changing the brake bias but changing power from the diffs is pretty cool technology!

Sorry to hear about the layoff Stephan

CNN was interviewing the Bossman from Segway about a week ago and said: "On this day when the big three automakers are disclosing major losses and asking congress for an additional $25B, Dean Kayman(sp?) is anouncing his new electric car with a sterling engine..."

I wonder if they knew that layoffs were occuring at his company as well.

As poorly as Mr Kaman marketed his $5000 Segway (weren't they going to build cities around it?), I am not buying DEKA stock real quick!

An inside source let me know that this video was done over a 3-day period and 4 cars, compositing multiple takes.
