If the icon is so important, why does it not show up on any of the COM pages? Look above..NO Vette!
Just wondering why such an important aspect was left off all the web site logos...

I thought COM was for....Cars Of Massachewshetts

COM has not been Corvettes of Massachusetts since 1968. IOW, it was Corvettes of Massachusetts for 10 years, and has been COM (not a Corvette Club) for 40 years.

It was still Corvettes of Mass when I ran in 1986 and 1987, and I found it again in 2005, via Google, when I became interested in returning to the track.

Hmm. I didn't know that. I guess it was Corvettes of Massachusetts without being an "official" Corvette club. I should shut up and listen to people who have actually been around more than three years.

The Corvette in the website logo was intentionally left out.

I appreciate the logo, I appreciate the club heritage, I understand what it means to have a timeless brand. Trust me, I've spent my career working with brand identities. But times do change and it's time for COM to move on. Brands can be 'freshened up' and embrace new technology without disrespecting the heritage behind them. I bet you would be hard pressed to find a major brand that hasn't seen a face lift in the past 50 years.

And I may back off a bit, also. I reread the club By Laws and find no mention of "Corvettes", nor do I find any reference to an "official" logo containing a Corvette.

I like Micks view. As times change,so must an organization to reflect its members desires.

I think the COM logo, sans Vette profile, is a distinct and recognizable image that promotes no brand of car.

It really isn't about what you drive, right?

One of the greatest attributes of this club is the diversity of its members and their rides.

Check The Four Wheel Drift. You just received a link to November. This logo came from the club artwork that we have used for many years.

I like the updated look, but the Corvette on the 50 year patch seems appropriate.
