I really like and support the club......and I have COM stickers on my trailer, but I'm probably not going to wear one on the car. I like to keep my cars looking plain.....for obvious reasons.

We do have a bunch of decals and COM mugs available. I'll have 'em next Wednesday. If anyone would like some, send me a PM, I'll start a list. :)

I agree with Troy.
Attached is an example of why I think the rule proposal was submitted in the first place. Granted, the COMSCC.ORG text on the car is huge compared to what we are talking about.

Sam, are we talking about the same thing? Are you saying that if the club provided members with 6"x 3" color logos on magnets, or even a standard bumper-sticker sized logo/website on magnets, you would disapprove of a requirement for them to be on the car along with numbers & class letters?

I don't think that magnetic logos would stick to the body of my car, but I would put on free stickers. This is the first winter I put my car away with having a pile swap meet parts that need to fab on. So, I might finally think about paining the car.

As for the rule proposal, I totally disagree with it. I believe in the principle that we should not be forced to advertise for an event that we pay for (instructors work) to attend. When I race oval track, some tracks made up put logos on our cars in order to collect prize money.

with scca not only do you have to pay entry but last i knew, you have to pay for the stickers that are required by scca. as far as nasa goes, you have to pay entry but i think the stickers are free.

Back to the question asked of me: I was referring to our street cars. I prefer the anonymous, low profile (ok, ok, so I have a roll bar :D ) on my street car. For the track, I am neutral about the requirement. I keep the low profile on my trailer too!!
As Will said, there are COM stickers around and I would not mind having them available to give, or sell, to members as dictated by the BOD

Rumor has it that there are some prototype patches also being considered. Our Trophy Chair, Toni has spent some time putting together a couple of prototypes. One rumor says that they may be given out to attendees at the banquet (hint - sign up for the banquet!). Let's see if this new fangled attachment thingy works. The attached patches will be discussed at the BOD meeting on Nov 19. Another note, please see the inclusion of the Corvette, which is the proper, official COM logo.

NOT diggin the old Corvette on the logo. Yea,I know,it's the Official logo, but how about a change?
I say keep it clean;ditch the old look. Most(OK,all) of the COM logos on the website don't have the Vette on them anyways. Just my opinion... 8)

I think the 1968 -1977 Corvette should go and be replaced by a Mustang. After all isn't the club COM (Club of Mustangs) :!:
