i just got back from the race shop . all the peaple that worked on pauls team were there . even thow we all knew it was coming. now one thought P.L. would go this fast . he was a fighter that did not like to lose .my hart goes out to mike one of pauls best frends and joann his wife and daughters .along with the guys on the team mark, bill, and pete. paul was a person that HATED to be treated like a move star . when barbra walters did an interview about paul last summer at lime rock .it was hell to get the work done on the car . he came up to me becouse he noticed i was getting pissed off with all the peaple in the way . put his arm around me winked and said ( you dont like all the peaple here do you .ya me too!) . the last 5 weeks paul could not drive his cars so he went out a got one of thouws kawasaki mules to drive around his yard . now theres a racer ! if you cant drive a car you still need to drive some thing . joann was not happy about that , tearing up the yard . joann never liked P.L. racing that much. 2 years age at line rock paul crashed not a bad crash but when paul got back to the pits and was getting out of the car she said to P.L. (ARE YOU FINISHED YET ?) she was not talking about for the day . she ment racing ! make no mistake paul wears the pants in the family but joann tells paul which ones to put on . well i could go on and on with storys like this . but it all comes down to P.L. all of your frends will miss you with all are harts and souls .

A few days ago someone pointed me to a tribute to Paul Newman from David Letterman on the Late Show:

It's well worth watching.

I have never seen Paul Newman with a beard before.(its right at the end)

Never heard of a blower called a "puffer" either.

A huffer occasionally.

Great link.Thanks!
