Sam,they are on Ebay. Both cars for an opening bid of $12.5k. What a deal. Too bad they're in Texas. Could always ship them for another $3k./pr
Maybe someone put the later model E36 engines in these? Or..maybe they are E36 chassis?I really don't know enough about them to tell.

Although they have taken plenty of liberties with the numbers for various reasons. Some E46 323's are actually 2.5L and newer 328's and 330's share the same displacement. Marketing.....saying 323 to a Bimmerphile is like saying 1750 to an Alfisti.Mick wrote:Right.

318, 325, 328, M3... = Model
The model number is usually the series + displacement
318 = 3 series with a 1.8L
530 = 5 series with a 3.0L
But yah.....a real M3 is very different from a plain Jane E30 car.
