i will be registering and paying next week. trying to recoop from tremblant.
need parts for your trailer, welding repairs/fabrication (sorry cant do aluminum), tires mounted and balanced, feel free to email/pm me. i am located a little west of nashua. ted

Is that how it works? If enough people don't sign up for an event it could be cancelled?

No, it won't be canceled. Not this year anyhow. The problem is that if we suffer low attendance, then we won't schedule Mosport for next year, and that would be a shame since it is such a great track.

I was planning on going and was really looking forward to it, but it appears I popped a head gasket at Tremblant. This is a very labor intensive and consequently, expensive repair on an 03 Cobra. Bummer too, I feel like I'm just now starting to drive the car effectively. Oh well. :roll:

Troy,that sucks.Good thing it wasn't bad enough not to be able to drive home.
Was it the drivers side cyl head? I have heard there is a coolant system mod to cure a circulation problem some have encountered when using the Termi hard on track.

Not to redirect this thread, but it is actually the passenger side head that has the cooling issue. There are cooling mods out there that redirect the flow from one head to the other, but there is no real data that any of them actually work.

Isn't it cyl 7 and 8 that has the problem ,which is the drivers side head?This is a link to a really well made mod kit for helping out the coolant flow problem without replacing the complete cyl head assy (with the Ford revised one);

I really don't know if the mod helps or not.

I've done the homework on the mod. It looks nice, and it makes people feel better that they have addressed the problem, but it doesn't flow enough to make a real difference.....especially for the track car application.

I have a decent quote in hand to do the job. We'll see what happens after the car is back together.

I may try and move to SPC with an S2000. Those are probably cheaper to maintain than an E30 M3. :)

There is a very good article in the latest issue of Grassroots Motorsports on the M3 from the first 4cyl units (1986) to the latest V8 edition.Very informative reading! I like the BMW's a lot.

Not to say the S2000's aren't quite the car...however if you think you are going to save money owning/repairing/maintaining one over a BMW,you have not bought Honda parts lately :shock:

Eh! That's only going for the low-hanging fruit! Try waging the battle with a Miata, think of the money you'll save on tires, brakes, and shelving units (no trophies to store!). :wink:

You can try reach Ted (NHSLIVERSTI) as he has a Subie too for you oil inquiry... He was just here setting my trailer with a new distribution system so I don't have to pop willies on my expedition while hailing the Alfa :shock:
All I know is you subie guys spend waaayyy too much time bleeding the brakes :lol:
