I have been looking at various car configurations mostly out of curiosity, and came across this Legend Thunder Roadster. 1200lbs and 160hp (FJR1300 Yamaha powered)with sequential shifting,full tube chassis,coilovers,15x8" wheels.Might make an interesting track toy.They say its in the works and will retail for $17k new .I don't know a lot about Legends as I have never owned or worked on one,,but they seem like a lot of fun and economical to run.They used to just do ovals,but are now being designed for road circuits.

From what I have read,the drivetrains hold up well,requiring minimal maintenance.Parts are also readily available. Thought it was interesting.

In a past season one of my car classes was running with the Legend road race cars. They were fast in a straight line, but the tires they were running were something like Dirt Stockers. Constant 4 wheel drift through the corners. They never seemed to catch on in this region.

Yea,but they make them use hockey pucks for tires. You put some V710's/R6's etc. on those and I'll bet it will be a different story. I noticed the test mules above appear to have road track slicks on.The silver one is 50s-60s Indy-nostalgic looking

For giggles,I'm going to go look at one (older sedan) in Ct tomorrow.
Cheap money,and has the necessary paperwork for me to register it to drive on the street as a 1937 Chevrolet.

Hey,maybe I can sell it as a hybrid/motorcycle crossover car if I don't like it.
