NHMS July Event Thanks!

Post by enjoythemusic » Thu Jul 10, 2008 11:19 am

Thanks to everyone at COMSCC, the workers, staff, etc or a great event! Was wonderful seeing everyone and look forward to attending a COMSCC event in the future and helping to promote the club. Just posted my blog at http://www.enjoythetrack.com/blogs/nhms070908/ . If anyone just so happens to have pics of me on track please PM me.

Thanks again for a great track day and as always...
Enjoy the Track,

Steven R.

Ditto on that! Great event! Even though my car broke 3 times, it was hotter than blazes and poured through the cookout, I had a great time. None of the above was under any ones control and as Dan told me "if it all went smooth, you would have nothing to remember it by". I did manage to get the tent up 30 seconds before the rain started and was dry in the truck :)

Congrats to Rob Ready (SSC) for breaking track record! =D> \:D/ :thumbleft:
I still take my trophy... less filling

Rob: I look forward to the video. Be a cool site to see the Alfa video from the front (I mean filmed from the back of your Miata).

I have pictures of some heats, but next time it would be cool to get a better vantage. I was unable to get away from the fence blocking everything.

I will post the images to a private gallery tonight, hopefully.

Hi Erica,

Unfortunately, every vantage point from NHMS is behind chain link fence. While there are a few spots beyond the fence, you can't get to them while the track is hot.

A-ha! Yet another reason to go to our away events, especially Mt. Tremblant and Mosport. World class, beautiful tracks, with no chain link and plenty of photo-ops. :)

Sooorrry for the delay. I just finished resizing/cropping the images. I will create the gallery tonight.

What will happen then is if you want a higher-resolution version of the image, you'll have to ask!

I generally like to post some pictures to Flikr, so if anyone has objections, you'll have to let me know after taking a peek!

:p If you guys allowed a photographer with spotter into the Pit lane, it could be done. I know someone was roaming around charging for photos as well. No charge from me haha! Some of these came out pretty well, but I definitely need to get a polarizer filter again (I lost mine) - bigtime glare.

The "far away" pictures were most likely taken by Justin on my camera, BTW - aka all of Run Group 4 was taken by Justin, as I was in the car!

Please let me know if you a) have opposition to your picture being posted on FLikr (not all of these will be there, just the most interesting ones), and b) if you want a higher resolution version.

Sure...sending 2 of each along via email. If you want SUPER high res, please let me know...the files are about 10MB each, and would have to be transferred in another way.

Thanks!
