Seems hotel accommodations are getting sparse rather quickly. I got a good deal at the Residence Inn (Mariott) but so that everyone can benefit, get info, share, perhaps this is the area we can post info on hotel, camping, etc.

My "good deal" is below. Note It will be for 4 adults and 4 children so if you get a suite with 2 bedroom and 2 baths, you can share it will bring the cost down. Breakfast and a PM snack included...:

In the heart of Tremblant's pedestrian village, Marriott Residence Inn offers a variety of rooms & suites. All suites (1 and 2-bedroom) are equipped with a full kitchen, fireplace and 2 televisions per unit. The Marriott Residence Inn prices include hot and cold buffet breakfast, snacks during social hour (Monday to Thursday), as well as access to an outdoor heated pool (summer only) and exercise room.

Hot & cold buffet breakfast (value of 10$ per adult);
Afternoon snack, Monday to Thursday (value of 6$ per adult);
Daily newspapers;
Exercise room;
Tremblant Merchant's Discount Booklet;
High speed Internet access;
Unlimited access to the panoramic gondola and the beach of the Beach and Tennis Club* (value of 30$ per adult);
Unlimited access to the panoramic gondola and the Petit Geant** (value of 25$ per adult).
Free grocery delivery

The swimming pool will be opened until September 1, 2008. The pool will then remain open on weekends only until October 6, 2008.

Property Amenities
24-hour reception , Babysitting services , Bell service/storage , Bicycling , Bike racks , Breakfast (Buffet) , Breakfast Included , Common laundry facilities , Concierge desk , Conference facilities , Cots with linen , Dry cleaning/laundry service for a fee , Fax service , Fitness room - common , Grocery shopping service , Guest parking for a fee , High speed Internet access , Newspaper daily , Outdoor Pool (Summer Only) , Playpens , Safety deposit boxes , Ski storage , Ski-in/ski-out accessibility , Video rentals , Walk to lifts/shuttle

Two Bedroom Suite - Queen - 2 Double =CAD $279.00

For 2 couples with kids this is not a bad deal.

Is there a hotel near the track with the basics; bed,shower,tv for a reasonable rate ,around $60-80/night? Like a Red Roof or something similar.I don't need the extras etc,etc. I am thinking of signing up for this event and need to see if its within my comfort zone. Thanks!

OK...so i did some homework.I guess I can forget about any room for less than $100.

Does anyone have any thing good or bad to say about the Comfort Inn in Mt.Tremblant? It's about 7 miles from the track and cost $120/night. Vacancy.

Mont Tremblant got "converted" into a village concept by IntraWest (same group that own Whistler in BC.
So nothing goes for "cheap" there. Comfort Inn is in the Village (so is the Mariott Residence Inn). Nice clean place. All hotels there are good. Make sure If you are trailering to drop the trailer at the track BEFORE you go to the Village otherwise you will have a miserable time negotiating that in tight areas.
To find anything less expensive would be to try in St-Jovite, the town over before Mont Tremblant. Then you need to figure the time and gas to get to the track, etc. In the end it's almost a trade-off.
So better to get something for $120, and share.

The cafeteria will be open for lunch. There are no garages, just a very hot, paved paddock area. The weather can range from the mid 70's to the mid 90's. Last year it was HOT! Currently they are seeing the mid 70's through August 1. Bring shade!

The Miata team puts up some nice tents... the Mustang boys mostly bring trailers with some kind of shade...
Watch for trees that leak sap as this gets on your fast cars and affects aerodynamics :? :lol:
I think you are not allowed parking on the grass area (near the pond).

Great idea to bring some shade if you can. Speaking of tents, if you bring an EZ-UP, do not leave it up overnight. You will probably find it wrapped around your car the next morning, or worse, around somebody else's car!
