First event but not my last

We're all about turn 1 because of the pucker factor, but, truth be told, it's not the most important turn on the track. Obviously, because it's so long, you need to maintain a good pace through it, but it leads into a slow corner, not a long straight.

No, but you can sure loose lots of time there! Better pucker up and keep your foot in it!

If you attended class at the last NHMS event one of the slides I presented was observing landmarks, references, cones, etc.
At Mont Tremblant, turn 1 is about going fast.
But the turn is a late Apex, off-camber high speed turn. It's something of a unnerving feeling that a roller-coaster will not even come close...
All of the "pros" here mentioned the importance of going fast there but forgot to mention an important landmark that WILL make you go fast there with a good reference: a birch tree with a tall white trunk in the middle of the other trees. It's a great reference (and let's HOPE it's STILL there).
My 1st time there I knew I could go faster. Then Allison told me about that tree and I took 4 seconds off.
Last year I got the track record for SSC.

Frank. you don't need to know, you are fast enough up there as it is!
Bet your brother-in-law will have a pucker or two when his instructor shows him the line!!
Anyway you could tape that? I am sure it would be a winner on America's Funniest!

The aim but after you see it so you can then point at it.... like the reference of the "Continental bridge" at Mosport or the last cone of turn 6 at NHMS..

There are lots of trees, you are better off looking at the track (where you are going) unless you want to go off.

Troy and Will -- Just bring some white paint when you walk the track and paint all the tree trunks white Easier than chopping down the trees

Its been pretty heavily grown in as I recall trying to look for it last year. If you didnt ride your way into the woods, doubt you would have found it.
