Will predicted thunderstorms cancel the timetrials on Wed?

Post by agrabau » Mon Jul 07, 2008 9:03 pm

Looks like 70% chance of rain and thunderstorms beginning in the AM. Wondering if I should make the trip up if this thunderstorms will curtail track activity.

Throw on the rain tires and go for it. My first rain race i was clueless and did not shield the air intake, so the engine was digesting a bit of water PLUS was no nervous i was slow. The car was a fun handful! The camera mount is loose, but look at the water coming off the front left tire within this video:

Frankly, i welcome the rain if need be as could use more track time dealing with wet conditions. Still, it is a buzz killer as wanted to lap at 1:08.5 this week in the dry like i did during a test day in CC config (104.653 in the dry using NASCAR T1/2 http://www.enjoythetrack.com/blogs/nhms ... coring.pdf ).

I just for some reason thought that they cancel the run groups if there's lightning.

I tried to go up this morning but got pulled over and my car got towed. Sweet. Trying again this afternoon.

Yes, they delay if lightining due to the Birdsnest.
