Actually, the winning Subaru ran in the top 5 all day - before it rained. Also, a Legacy GT won this same event last year in the dry.

They certainly run a strange mix of cars in the same class. 250hp+ Legacy and TSXs againt 197hp Minis? Is there a ny kind of "leveling" by way of allowed mods?

I was thinking that myself. A properly prepared RX-8 would be untouchable by any car in that race. I think (but don't know for sure) that mods must be highly restricted. But don't the 3 and 6 Mazdas have similar power? Also, did you notice how well that car handled? It looked like a rear wheel drive car being chucked about with abandon. Gotta get in touch with those guys.

One of the ICY/Phoenix guys posts in the Motorsports forum on NASIOC (Subaru Club) on occaision. Their engine tuner does a couple of other COM guys cars.
