Four Wheel Drift Newsletter

Post by ctkag » Fri Jun 06, 2008 8:54 am

I received my copy of the Drift today - no issues with receiving the .pdf file.

Great job by Bruce and all who contributed.

I am really a fan of the included Board minutes. I like to know what is on the club's plate these days and what is being discussed. I would be OK with the minutes just being available on the website however.

Thanks again!

I like it, thanks Bruce.

I agree though, seems like overkill to email a 2mb file when we could simply post the PDF to the website then send out a link. Or just post it as html.

Currently we want the Drift to be value for members only. But still, we might change to placing future Drifts on a private area of the COM Web site and then emailing a link to all members.

The Board would be interested in member's opinions on the private vs. public posting of the Drifts and the content in the Drift.

IMHO, the content of the Drift is all about the type of info that should be public on the website. The articles about events are absolutely the type of theing I would want a prospective member to read - and may incent them to join and attend an event.

That's not to say that the Drift itself couldn't be private and the featured articles posted to the website - maybe at some later date.

I like it, nice job Bruce.
I agree it should be public, but hold back the financial info. No particular reason why, just seems like it's not for public consumption.

Nice job Bruce. Thanks for resurecting the newsletter.
I just bought a new Nikon D80 DSLR so I'll be able to get some great pics when I can get to an event. (The weekday event schedule has been a killer for me).

Great, Lou.

Yeah, I think that we should go for weekend dates regardless of increased cost next year-- even on away events. Otherwise it will just be a bunch of retired old fast farts like me.

How does it show up (email, snail mail?). I joined on 5/21/08, wondering if it went into my spam box or something.
