Who has signed up for Calabogie??????

Post by bhoss » Thu May 01, 2008 4:10 pm

After a great two days at the Glen I am chomping at the bit to get to Calabogie. Had a blast there last year - it took a few runs to learn the track - all 20 turns. Smooth, fast with good run off room.

There is a good Drivers Guide on the Calabogie site that goes over each section of the track - turn by turn - I would suggest that you spend a few minutes with it before you get to the track. Look for the link on the COM site.

This is a big track which will hold a lot of cars - this should translate into a lot of track time for everyone.

See you there.

Signed up and paid. :hello2: This will be my first time out in the car this year. I'm not even going to get to do an autocross or anything first, so I'm really counting the days to Calabogie.

Awesome track. Great combination of speed and dexterity required. The smooooooooth pavement is the icing on the cake!

Currently the numbers are half of last year's attendees. In 2007 we had small run groups and ample track time to play.

We need more people to attend. Remember the membership fee is waived if the member's first event of the year is an "away" event.

The revised rules relative to roll cages and fire suits opens the door of opportunity for that friend that has added that big wing or CF hood to his street car.

Registration is still OPEN.

I wish I could attend -- hopefully COM will be able to book more weekend events next year. I'm opting out this year in favor of other clubs that run on the weekend.

Registered and paid some time ago. I'll have an autox (Storyland with CMC at the end of April) and an Ascutney hill climb (any else here do hill climbs?) under my belt by that point, but not a whole lot 4th+ gear involved with those.

Will just be my 2nd COMSCC event and 2nd Calabogie event. Not sure if anyone else is in that boat, but I loved it last year and made it a priority this year. Dave G. and I will hopefully be caravaning from VT together if anyone is looking for folks to drive up with.

I am signed up but wil not be driving this year due to an injury unfortunately. I was really looking forward to driving that track again, I'm sure I left a lot on the table last year (sorry Sam).

Thanks Sam, my shoulder is getting a little better every day.
She may do another event someday, but not this time.
