2006 ballots

Post by Grippy » Tue Dec 20, 2005 4:44 pm

Hello COMers,

Well it seems that the 2006 ballots went out a bit prematurely. I was intending to petition to get on the ballot for the BOD at the meeting Wed night. Now I have to appeal to you all to write me in on the ballot in hopes that I get enough votes to be elected.

I would like very much to serve the membership as a voice on the BOD and give a little back to the club that has given me so much.

Thanks for your consideration

This is my fault.

In the years that I have been with COM, we have always
done the nominations at the November Board meeting. I hate
to admit that I didn't even know that there was a bylaw saying
that a member has until the December board meeting to get on
the ballot.

My sincere apologies Gordon!

To the membership - there is still plenty of time to vote!
Only about 5% of the ballots have come back as of today...

No worries Herb, this just makes it a bit more of a challenge.

How about re-sending the ballot via email after ALL the candidates have been established? Shouldn't be a big deal, at least make it fair for all involved.

I just got a revised ballot and was so impressed by Stynger's concern for fairness that I cast my 8th vote for Lester Seal (aka Stynger) as a write-in candidate. Not sure he wants to be on the board but I know he does attend the meetings and would be a good board member and great representative for the membership, and I am betting he'd agree to serve if elected.
