Hi Sam;
The NEQCLUB put me in their middle group the first time I went with them, but they moved me up to their advanced group (red group) after a couple laps around the track with an instructor. They want your car registered also, so I run with the dealer plate on my car. With NEQ you are either a student or an instructor , there is no " licensed" drivers. They are a friendly group and a driver of your experience should be soloed right away. You could contact Steve Earley or Bruce Wigget to check on where you might be placed and tires. Their web site is http://www.neqclub.org See you April 14 th ?

Verrrry tempting Dan, but I must say no. I have business trips scheduled around the COM track days and must be in Montreal the week of the 14th. Bummer! I will check out the web site and perhaps see what other alternatives they have for the year. Yikes! $295 is rather rich!DanDarcy wrote:Hi Sam;

You need to get signed off by one (or maybe it's two) instructors, and then by the head instructor. The Audi club is like the BMWCCA as far as solos go. An instructor rides with EVERYONE for the first session of the day, then you get signed off to solo. I'll be at LRP on the 14th in the green Miata.chaos4NH wrote:What are the NEQ requirements to qualify to solo? Is our COM Time Trialing license sufficient?

Hi Cy;
If your in the expert group and have been there for awhile they don't have an instructor assigned to you. The last two years with them I only has an instructor ride once with me. They usually require two instructors to sign you off to solo, but the first time I went they soloed me after a couple laps with one instructor. Steve Earley, the head instructor knew I had a Com license , so he just let me solo.
I will look for you, I will have the black Mustang #310 and my trailer is black with an MG logo on the side, stop by and say "hi".
