I'll be in Rochester, NY this weekend so I'll ask around and see how the snow is melting in the southern tier. There's still another 3 weeks and the snow usually isn't bad that far from the lake so I think that we should be ok.

Brrrrrrr!! It sure looks cold and overcast. Nice cam shots though.

I was watching the Seneca lake cam for a bit and noticed it says thurs,Jan 1st, 1970 8;45 am at the bottom.

Nice viewing...but not going to be helpful...

Not wgi but this cam may help not too far from the track.

You can control the cam. Zoom in using "hi mom" and it looks like only an inch or so of snow cover.

"...but not going to be helpful... "

It always indicates that information - it may not be helpful to you - but it is a live picture.

Mark, you are banned from weather forecasts and weather video cams. Look what your forecast did to NHMS!

I like to think I can deal with reality.

I’ve never found that hiding my head in the sand works well.

You did mean snow, not sand, correct?

A friend of mine in the Watkins Glen area sent me these pictures today. They got snow last night but there was no snow before that. So this snow should not last long and they expect to be in the 50's next weekImageImageImageImage

But remember last year Watkins Glen had a late snow storm which was over 2 feet of snow 2 weeks before our event :!: Pray for warm sunny days

Looked at the live Watkins Glen camera #1 a few minutes ago and there was a sail boat out on the lake. A little early yet for the sun bathers I guess.
Counting down the days!
