A definite answer is not possible until we hear for sure it things are a go or no go, then we can pursue some possible alternatives. If cancelled, any entry fees are generally returned to the entrant, or if they desire, credited toward another event.

Hey, how do you think the Subie Forester SXT would do? Darned things are pretty quick and you could carry a whole pack of dogs, or stuff, in the back!

Yesterday it called for snow and "nada" (means "nothing" in a some latin languages), todya it calls for more snow showers and so far "niente" (means "nothing" in Italian). Ten day report now shows temps in the 40's and that is not a bad process to start melting 5 ft of snow.
So ... in conclusion ... I still think it's premature to make a decision (to call off that is) this coming Friday if that is the case.

Mark S, you can gauge by the rate of snow melting off from your Nissan ... how's the process there? can you see the hood?

Yea,it's melting...but I'm concerned about the 5' of ice report.If the track snow melted all winter and pooled at the low spots....and froze...

Maybe that was supposed to be 5" of ice

They won't let us use the oval anyways- sounds like a cool glacier to check out as we go through the chicane. It would make blowing turn 1 and trying to escape up into the oval a little more interesting...but I can't think of anyone that would do that....

I want you to know- that "love tap" helped correct an alignment problem with the car. Not the way Carol Smith would say to adjust camber, but the car did continue to get faster after that.
