Any hitch style .20' tag would be ideal. I hate to buy new but time is getting short... any leads?

Debated selling mine as want a larger one (don't wel all), but perhaps next year... If you decide new, love my Thule Series 3000. Best price was United Sports (207) 224-8444 in Maine who gave a nice discount, plus they are located VERY close to the Thule factory so you have no 'delivery charges'.

The Thule 'V' nose makes aero better plus adds a few feet overall and have built in cabinets (top and bottom)... VERY usable. i guess with price of labor/dollar/alum being what it is, plan on $11k. Thule uses fully boxed members and not 'I' beams i think others use. Construction technique and quality is key, so ASK before you buy a trailer.

For me, the cost of buying and resale value is key. If it costs $10 to buy and can sell used 3 years later for $7, what have i really 'lost'?

Am sure you and many COM'ers know most of the above, just pointing it out as we get to trailer buying season. Have seen too many cheap flimsy trailers or those that rust... Took about 3 months of research and that is how Thule was chosen over Featherlite, Haulmark, Pace and others.

Thanks for the response Steve.I JUST missed a 24' Thule that was advertised on Craigslist.Snooze,you lose.10-11k is what I'm expecting to spend. If I get a 28 footer I can fit the Atom and another car on board.I'll try United Sports this week. Mark

FYI: had mine custom built to my specs, United was about 18% less than all others as i recall. List was $12k or thereabouts for the 18x7 with front top/bottom cabinets and a few other tweaks. Wish i had spec'ed a 20 x 8, yet... (long story, basically the Ford Ranger a no-go, F250 acquired which meant i coulda easily hauled bigger trailer).

Forget the owner's son name (?richard?), nice guy who likes to ride horses with girlfriend/wife. If you love snow mobiles, United Sports has an AMAZING 'museum' there of them.

Thanks! I'm a little anxious.

I have found one locally called a Renegade.Bumper tow,20' main box with Aero nose,all alu construction,SS hardware, 2,700lbs empty,dual axles/brakes.White.Insulated,lined,wired,lights.$10.5k new.
Might be a winner. I can always go bigger in the future :wink:

FWIT, I have been advised to steer clear of the V nosed units. Makes like a big sail in cross winds. Advice from my neighbor who owns Forrest Marine in Tyngsboro, who took his bikes to Daytona and swears the trailer tried to run in front of his Escalade in brisk crosswinds.

Wouldn't the Aero designed nose be much more benefit as crosswinds are infrequent and what's another 3' on top of 20', vs. the constant tug on that big,flat surface at 75 mph?

Just telling you what I was advised. He tows a 14' with the V nose and had a difficult time with cross winds. You may find that an "aero nose" and V nose are not the same thing. The V nose has the fold down door in it. Aero?

That V nose, or Aero nose if called that, is much shallower than the V type nose I was told to avoid. Looks a lot less like like a sail!
