Addition of Cars and revision of Classes

Post by StephanAlfa » Sat Mar 22, 2008 9:21 am

FOlks:
Some members of the Alfa Owners Club of NE (AONE www.velocissima.com) are, by nature, better experts at Alfas than the norm.
They checked the classification of some model Alfas and there seems there is a need for clarification for some of these classes.
What is the procedure? Can we ONLY change classes during the annual revision or can these changes be submitted at any given time?

Here are some examples:
* The Sports Sedan is the four door version of the Alfetta GT. Most contemporary road tests put the Alfetta GT at about the same lap times as the GTV, the Alfetta has less hp and heavy bumpers, but a more sophisticated suspension and better weight distribution.
* The Spider, GTV, and Alfetta GT should probably be classified together
* There is no listing for the Berlina which is the 4 door version raging from 1.6 to 2 litres depending on year.

Why we are doing this? Because I am promoting COM to a whole bunch of Alfa groups from NY, NJ, Toronto/Montreal and New England.
Thus you will see an increment presence of these beautiful machines on track.
Some of them have no body rool (ST or SP class) 8)

"RULES MAY BE CHANGED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AS DEEMED NECESSARY BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF CAR CLASSIFICATIONS. INDIVIDUAL CAR CLASSIFICATIONS MAY BE CHANGED DURING THE COMPETITION SEASON BY A MAJORITY VOTE OF THE BOARD OF STEWARDS FOR NEW AND NOT OTHERWISE CLASSIFIED CARS OR CARS CLASSIFIED IN ERROR."

Body rool? Is that body roll.. or body rule?

He worked on it a lot...40 years ago.
