Calabogie, mosport, tremblant, VIR, sebring, summit, NHIS, NNJMP, road atlanta, barber, Glen, Lime rock, then and only then can you put pocono on that list.
Point completely missed.

Wasn't missed at all, I think of pocono the same way you think of lime rock and were both right.

On one of the porsche forums someone posted that Lime Rots just announced a new membership plan
Instead of the 100k this one is 27.5k for 10 track days a year for 10 yrs.
Looks like the 300 100k memberships that were going to sell out like hot cakes didnt (rumor has it they sold less than 100)
Choke on it LRP

The track modification plans look like they are "slowing down" the circuit.

Looks like they are keeping the down hill.

It looks like they pussified the track now for the champagne crowd. LRP was pretty high on the fear factor, but look at these changes!

- Left hander: Made it faster and safer.
- Right hander: Made it way the hell slower with that chicane, equating to much slower top speeds at end of back straight.
- Uphill: Chicane at the bottom of the hill. No more Bruce Allen / Geldart maneuvers when cresting the hill at high speed.
- West Bend: Chicane at West Bend dramatically slowing things down. Less chance of clobbering the outside and flipping if you early apex.

The only ballsy corner seems to be Downhill, and even there, they are adding a lot of paved runoffs.

Hey, why not just level the hill, build a 1 mile by 1 mile square patch of tarmac, and set up cones instead?

At least they left Big Bend alone for those of us that like mud baths. :P

It's a pet peeve of mine, but I can't stand the spelling errors all over the new layout document. What else are they overlooking?

To me, this is wall art. Shitty at best, since it's still LRP, but wall art. Can you forward me links of color schematics of other tracks? Like real art and stuff... WGI, MT, etc.

Upon close inspection it appears that the old layout is still there (I hope repaved). Clubs would have a choice. they can have an autocross if they want. The first two SCCA regionals have been cancelled by Lime Rock.

First regional at NHMS is half the price of the NARRC runoffs at Lime Rock last year.

Don't call them track 'changes' - call them track 'additions'. The original config will remain - and get repaved. The new turns are for the Club Members put in to slow the dangerous corners for expensive street cars.

Bruce: NHMS is $225 for a single day regional with 45 minutes on track. NARRC Runoffs were $325 for 70 minutes on track.

Minute to dollar has the NARRC Runoffs a better 'deal'...and a far better track. To compare Pocono (in ANY config) to LRP is crazy. CRAZY.

This just in:

Each group will be able to run whatever configuration they want. The original one will stay intact as promised.

If you have a desire for a certain config, let your local comp board know!!!

I think we have pretty much decided one day events are not to our liking.
