Giving Away $40k Of Audio Equipment (seriously)
Hi Everyone,
Basically, the URL i slave over day after day is www.EnjoyTheMusic.com and every year for the past three it has given away audiophile equipment ($145k or thereabouts all told so far). Anywho, basically you enter via e-mail and at random winners are chosen.
NO, i WILL NEVER sell/rent/lend your e-mail address. I HATE SPAM!!!
YES, you will get promotion e-mail twice a month stating the site has new content (reviews, etc).
YES you can easily unsubscribe, though obviously you'd want to do this AFTER the end of April (so that you are still a member of the mailing list for 'second chance' of prize(s) not claimed the first time around).
That's the skinny. No BS, no endless spamming, etc. Just giving away over $40k of audiophile equipment.
So how can we give away $145k of stuff over the years? Because Enjoy th Music.com is kinda, well, we don't suck so badly as compared to other sucky audiophile sites
Wanna see what is being given away and enter, see www.enjoythemusic.com/contest/audiophile_contest/

thanks, i'll have to stop by. I also have to see about my budget, I'm still a college student and the motor in my miata needs a rebuild (i cant justify a stock rebuild when for a little more here and there i can have a much nicer motor)
i really like the current rig, I had a shop in Rochester NY and friends help me with a "budget" setup. i have done some of the cheap tweaks like filling the stands with sand and using bluetac between the speakers and the stands. I've come along way from my Klipsch cornwall 2's and NAD amp days.
I need tubes for the Jolida and was thinking about modding it with nicer caps and all the other things. but i have heard mixed things about the upgrade. I should just start with fresh tubes and go from there.

Yeah, tube amps are easy to tweak, though as you know there are so few parts that EVERYTHING can make a difference. Difference being not necessarily good or bad. Then comes the fun of braking in/forming the parts to eventually really knowing how they sound. i have a cable burn in device i use to form cable, capacitors, etc. As for tubes, oh man how deep is that wallet(!) as it gets $$$.LDP82 wrote:I need tubes for the Jolida and was thinking about modding it with nicer caps and all the other things. but i have heard mixed things about the upgrade. Sorry and all, not selling ANY of my nos gold pin Bugle Boys, though if you had a 300B amp i got massive variety of tubes.
Nice tubes! I'm not looking to do anything too crazy at this point need to get the car on the road and a job (graduating this summer!) first. One of the tubes biases low so i need tube soon. i'm looking to spend around $150 for 4. (6CA7)EL-34's 2. 12AT7's and 2. 12AX7's. I need the El-34's i think the preamp tubes are fine but i got them used with the amp so i have no idea how many hours are on them. any suggestions?
