I was surprised and pleased to see the Maxda RX8 win the GT class. Wonder what the Porsche GT3 teams think of that?

Hey Sam, Zoom-Zoom!! I was there to see and hear that Speedsource#70 for almost the full 24 hours I got some great pictures from pre race grid to race and after the race on pit lane, lots of Mazda fans.
If you get the chance you have to go see and hear this car in person,Lime Rock and the Glen is a 6 hour race.

i'd post pics, but this board not not allow attachments and i am too busy to make a web page on my site with the over 100 pics. i had FULL AND ALL ACCESS to the event. Was so close i could taste the brake dust and got some racing fuel on my shoes. Got hit by some tire clag during practice, walked the track the morning before the event, hung out with guys just before the race on pit lane...

Am right now debating what might be in store for 2009 as there was an open seat (driving) during the event... but passed on it plus think i'd need higher licensing AND personally feel i need more seat time before going to that level. DOn;t be impressed, the open seat was offere to any qualified driver who had deep pockets and wanted to drive a Porsche.

Still, it was fun hanging out with teams, seeing the streaming data and analyzing it all on the fly, etc.
Enjoy the Track,

could be just a rumor but I heard the porshaas let that wanker, excuse me, wankel win
grand am is for sissys anyhow
the real porsche vs. mazda battle will be happening in SPA this year with Dr. Macaroon (The King of all Cookies) duking it out with Jimmy Mac and possibly the returning Iafrati
along with some mean cars from the good ol USA should mean a good season for this class
if the competition is close enough maybe we could convince Bruce to break out the Rotus (he hates it when you call it that) and Leos to hang up his miata drivin shoes (pink?) and get back in the 930
who knows, I may finally finish my time bomb and get in the mix as well
that 3-rotor video is nice- any idea of the revs that thing pulls?
must have been nice hearing that thing scream by every few minutes when catching some shut-eye down there

Hey John, very good stuff!! The stormin' aft engined army from Stuggart letting Hiroshima's finest three spinning triangle motor getting some champagne spilled on it in victory lane :D

I hope you get your car going for SPA this year. Heck I hope to have more than four gears this year :)
Talk to you soon buddy,
