Additional Harness Questions

Post by jadams » Fri Feb 08, 2008 2:01 pm

Do both harnesses (driver and passenger), need to be the same kind? If I have no intention of ever having a passenger, do I really need to updated the unused harness? Seems like a waste of money to me.

Can anyone recommend a good harness that is HANS compatible? (2" shoulder belts)

Thanks,

Joel

Put in a plastic baby seat like I did (or so Grove alleges)

Can I legally do that in SPA?

Street Prepared automobiles must comply with section VI, then any modifications are permitted while observing the following restrictions:

14. The passenger seat may be removed to allow the installation of a "Petty Bar".

It will stiffen the unibody and you won't have to worry about a second set of straps.

Could you guys kindly stop giving Joel ideas that could make him faster!

Joel what they mean is that petty bar should be full of lead- for added strength- yeah that's the ticket.

I was wondering what a Petty Bar is.....so it is a huge lead filled tube, huh? That sounds cool. In order to offset that, I am considering inflating my tires with Hydrogen! I bet that would be sweet!

On another note, my new suspension started to arrive today! :D New Koni shocks. The swar bars arrive tomorrow....and my new springs should be in next week. I like Scott's idea from the other post.....you can't add up costs! I stopped keeping track a long long long time ago.

Here is the answer to the question about Scroth harnesses that are DOT approved:
SS and ST cars may use any DOT, SFI, or FIA approved harness.
