Another boost question
The street prepared rules say in item 12 that turbo or supercharged cars will be moved up to the next class level. My SPA cobra has a supercharger. Since SPA is the top of the street prepared group, does this move me to Prepared?

I believe we just removed that vestigial rule about turbos moving up a class. So fee free to put the turbo offfie indy engine in your Miata and run in SPB. Or a 14 liter radial 16 aircraft engine with 30 PSI of supercharger in the Miata and run in SPA. Just don't use Nitromethane. The turbo Offie would be a legal SPB swap for a Miata, unfortunately, Mazda never offered a 16 cylinder engine in a Miata so that mod would put it into Prepared.

Joel, you could have added three turbos and still be in SPA. And it seems to me that you were having just as much trouble keeping the front tires stuck to the pavement- those 2 skid marks just over the tree house hump were pretty impressive and expensive.jadams wrote:Sweet. Yeah...I know. It is because I was running the Carbotech XP 12 pads up front for the first time, and those suckers are a little touchy!! Very difficult to keep them from locking. There is a very fine line with those pads.
I may just go back down to the XP8's or 10's for next season......or I could try to hook up my ABS again. It might not be a bad option as it could help to save $650 worth of tires in a one millisecond mistake!

For that on-track incident where you've completely lost it and the only option is to try to stop as fast as possible to avoid a collision- ABS is UNSAFE!
For the safety of those around you when you spin (I'm not yelling at you now Joel)- ABS is UNSAFE.
