I'd love to hear about that!
I am at Ironmasters and may have a bed available. The one I am not using.

Yes it's the Sharon Motor Lodge and I just booked there too + cancelled the other. No meals included BTW. But note this is farther South (not by much) from the other hotel and the breakfast place you guys are talking accoring to the lodge keeper has since been closed but there is another one 5 miles down ) farther away from the track FYI.
FYI I booked a room for myself, brother in law and our 2 sons for $99 vs. IronMasters $110 + $112.50. Not THAT much of a difference FWIW but for those who have been there before (Sharon) I trust is comparable (or better) :?

I had an SCCA National race back when rooms around LRP were pushing upwards of 299$ a night. I stayed at a Super 8 in Torrington, CT. Just as far away as Great Barrington, maybe less. Clean rooms, lots of stuff around, Dunkin Donuts on the way back to the track. Think it was about 65$ or 70$ a night before tax.

I stayed at the Sharon Motor Lodge last year. It's a bit longer of a hike from the track than I thought it would be, but the rates were OK (I think about $89). I made a reservation by phone, with credit card, but they didn't seem to have it when I got there... might want to call the day before to make sure. Rooms were OK, non-descript. Worse thing was the strong smell of Indian food coming from the owner's unit - but I think my room abutted that so maybe it's not in all rooms.

Yeah. Much better to stay next to a MacDonalds where you can smell rancid French Fry fat

I'm looking to split a room with someone. Anyone else looking for a roommate, or have an extra bed?

Out of curiosity what is the Sharon Motor Lodge charging you guys?

The Inn at Ironmasters is $81 for Thursday night and $90 for Friday night – plus taxes. Ironmasters is very clean and comfortable.
