I know we can't camp at the up coming LRP event, but does anyboby a good place to camp ? Last year I stayed over at a rest area on Rt. 7 in Sheffield, Mass. , but there must be some place closer.

Dan, many years ago we stayed at Lone Oaks Campground. They have basic sites and electric/septic sites. As I recall they had hot showers, but it's been a while since I stayed there. Not far from the track.

Dan,
I stayed at the Lone Oaks campground before and it is really not much closer than the rest area we stayed at last year. If they are still open and you don't want to sleep on the side of the road. It is a good option.
Have fun at LRP, and I'll see you next year

Hi John and Scott
Thanks for the ideas, That campground does look about the same distance as the rest area, but it does have electricity which is nice instead of killing my batteries or running my generator. I'll call them and see if they take one nighters.

Short of camping in 20 degree weather... Does anyone have any advice on good (and inexpensive) hotels near LRP? Also, are we having a dinner buffet somewhere Friday night? If so, where? Thanks. Mickey
